Dr. Anderson’s work focuses on the selective capture of heavy and light rare earth elements using advanced polymers and materials combined with nanostructured ionic liquids and deep eutectic solvents. He further employs magnetically responsive solvents to optimize the recovery and controlled transport of these elements throughout the separation system.
