Dr. Das collaborates with Iowa’s state and local governments in the broad area of public finance. Through the Iowa Government Finance Initiative, as part of CED, ISU Extension and Outreach, his work includes analyzing fiscal situation and trends across all cities and counties in Iowa. In addition, his work also involves analyzing infrastructure needs and the fiscal challenges facing small communities—especially regarding investments in water and sewer infrastructure—provides vital insights that directly support HYDRO’s goals.
